Adult Education

What we do:

Provide on-going educational opportunities and seminar events to deepen our faith and provide opportunities for fellowship. Adult education classes are available on Sunday mornings during the Adult Community Hour.

We also supervise, encourage and facilitate small groups.

Position: Adult Ministries Committee Member -
Assist in coordinating adult ministries services to Colbert Presbyterian
Church community. Share ideas on the direction the ministry should go.
Time Commitment: 2 hours per month

Position: Small Group Leader (Pairs or Individuals) -
Lead a small group as it meets weekly or biweekly during the academic
year. Resources available: Curriculum and assistance in establishing the
group provided by the Adult Ministries Committee.
Time Commitment: 2 hours per week when the small group meets.

Position: Small Group Host (Pairs or Individuals) -
Host a small group as it meets weekly or biweekly during the
year either in your home or at church. Skills required: Good
interpersonal communication skills.
Time Commitment: 2 hours per week when group meets.

Position: Community Hour Teacher or discussion Leader -
Provide leadership and instruction during the Adult Community Hour.
Teaching opportunities can be anywhere from one week up to the entire
academic year. Skills Required: Ability to share information in an
interesting way and to lead discussion in a class-type setting.
Resources Available: Curriculum
Time Commitment: 1- 4 hours per week depending on amount of
preparation needed.
